Hungarian Grasslands
Description
It´s a fantastic feeling of freedom to see a sheep flock on the Hungarian steppe in national park Hortobágy. The Hungarian grasslands is the westernmost patch of the Eurasian steppe belt. In the 9th century the nomadic Hungarians arrived there from the East and were able to maintain their lifestyle and light cavalry warfare. The steppe provides pastures for large livestock to this day.
